The most important question when selecting your shopping trolley is to think about what you will be using it for. Do I have any limitations?
This is an important question as it may narrow down your choice by a large amount. The most common limitations people have when buying a shopping trolley are: price, height, weight and terrain.
Price If you are working to a budget then price may be an obvious limitation. If this is the case then we would recommend sticking with the classic, strong Scala frame. It is sturdy and strong being made from steel and can hold up to 50kg so is more than enough to fulfil your shopping needs. If budget allows you could always opt for the lighter Scala plus frame, made from aluminium, which has a foldable base for easier storage.
Height If height is a limitation because you are above or below average height then you should choose between the height adjustable frames: Alustar, Unus and Quattro. These will ensure that you can have the handle as high or as low as you like, with the added bonus of being very stable, easy to use, frames.
Weight If weight is an issue as you wish to lift the frame in and out of a car for example or generally lift and carry the frame often, the best options are the Scala plus or the Alustar as both are very light being under 2kg.
Terrain If you are buying a trolley specifically for frequent off road or rough terrain use than you should opt for a trolley with a larger frame, which aids stability, and wheels with a minimum of 25cm diameter. Any smaller and you run the risk of getting stuck in the mud – literally! So the frames you are looking at here are the Royal, Royal plus and the Tura, all of which have with a selection of wheels 25cm or larger.
